Description: I was inspired to create an armadillo after seeing one in my back yard. Through research I found not all armadillo's are native to Florida, but this specific type is. I created the body with paper mache' and then cut and painted ribbons and plastic containers to create the textures on the back and the scales. The tail was created with various sizes of bottle caps.
