Description: The Water Cycle:   1. How does your sculpture represent your research about the theme? Our sculpture represents the theme of water because we chose to showcase the water cycle and incorporate all the functions of the water cycle.  2. Can you tell me a little bit more about the water cycle? Evaporation: The Sun's heat causes water from oceans, lakes, and rivers to turn into water vapor and rise into the sky. Condensation: The water vapor cools and forms clouds. Precipitation: The clouds release rain or snow back to the Earth. Collection: The rainwater flows into rivers, lakes, and oceans, completing the cycle. 3. What was your favorite part about making this sculpture? I liked sculpting the animals to go in our water source and also I really liked stringing the beads for the raindrops and adding the gray paint to the clouds to make them look like storm clouds (cumulonimbus)  4. How has your thinking changed about the connection between creating with unconventional art materials and the environment? We use a lot of recycled materials to create art here at Muller so we are always looking for new ways to use old materials or things that people might see as garbage. Every year Muller hosts the recycled fashion show and that’s where we get creative making art into wearable outfits to have a fashion show in front of the entire school. Our thinking here is to find beauty in all of the things around us.
