Description: Hello, our names are Leila Rivera and Adeline Davison from Progress Village Middle Magnet School. Our piece of art is called "Cascade Cliffs". It is composed of epoxy resin; wine corks cardboard delivery boxes and aluminum foil. Our original concept was realistic but as construction continued, we decided to go in a more geometric and abstract direction. We took inspiration for our water project from our favorite game, Mario Odessey. The diagonal palm tree helps the viewers eye follow the water which is in the middle of our composition. The trees are made from felt and wine corks. We enjoyed working with the epoxy resin. We felt that its transparent nature helped convey the idea of water and its amazing dynamic qualities.
