2026 Gallery & Competition

Welcome to the 2026 DooDad Sculpture Competition!

The competition portion of the 2025 Repurposed DooDad Sculpture Competition has officially concluded, and we are incredibly grateful to the students, teachers, families, and schools who brought this year’s theme to life with such imagination and ingenuity.

From inventive uses of obsolete objects to thoughtful interpretations of “Florida, Flying into the Future,” the sculptures submitted this year demonstrated the creativity, humor, and environmental awareness that make the DooDad Competition so special.

Judging and People’s Choice Voting has completed! 🎉

While the judging is complete, the celebration continues! Many of this year’s sculptures are now being featured in exhibitions throughout the Tampa Bay area.  

Thank you to every student artist who participated and to the educators who encouraged their creativity!

Description: Florida Blasting Away : Thinking about the theme we used the fact that one of NASA's space stations is located here in Florida. When people look at our sculpture, we want them to think about how much Florida has grown as a state and to think about how far science and engineering has gotten us. There were many points when creating this sculpture when we thought we had hit a dead end, but through collaboration and consistent work we successfully completed our sculpture. Through creating this sculpture, we think that it has taught us to appreciate small things we have no use for such as broken crayons or jar lids. We feel like using those things made our sculpture more creative and we learned that using the unexpected things can be just as good as things you usually use.
