2026 Gallery & Competition

Welcome to the 2026 DooDad Sculpture Competition!

The competition portion of the 2025 Repurposed DooDad Sculpture Competition has officially concluded, and we are incredibly grateful to the students, teachers, families, and schools who brought this year’s theme to life with such imagination and ingenuity.

From inventive uses of obsolete objects to thoughtful interpretations of “Florida, Flying into the Future,” the sculptures submitted this year demonstrated the creativity, humor, and environmental awareness that make the DooDad Competition so special.

Judging and People’s Choice Voting has completed! 🎉

While the judging is complete, the celebration continues! Many of this year’s sculptures are now being featured in exhibitions throughout the Tampa Bay area.

Thank you to every student artist who participated and to the educators who encouraged their creativity!

Description: Elegant Pollinators: "Elegant Pollinators" is the title of my art piece. It shows a large White Peacock butterfly surrounding one of their favorite plants, the White petunia. The art piece is made out of a colander, bottle caps, wires, sticks, some old yarn I found in a play set I had when I was 10, plastic cups, hangers, electrical microchips, tiles, bubble wrap, dried playdough, springs, pipe cleaners, extra pieces found lying around. When I thought about the topic, I thought how their trying to use reusable energy sense that's what Florida is about. Florida is one of the top five states in the nation for clean energy growth with battery storage and solar power. Energy storage will do very well when we have another hurricane season because we'll have power to back it up. We're like butterflies because they impact Florida's ecosystem like how we impact the lives that are in it.
