Description: Horseshoe Crab: I made this sculpture to show an example of one of Florida's endangered species. About 700,000 horseshoe crabs were killed in 2021 for their blood. This harvesting is not okay because it's ecologically unsustainable for the species that depend on them. To save horseshoe crabs in Florida stop harvesting them for their blood. This is the first time I ever used fabric and cardboard to create a sculpture. It was very fun and challenging for me to make it. I learned how to manipulate cardboard and paint fabric. I think that this was a great opportunity to learn those things and more!
