Description: My Niagra Falls: Hi,
I'm Gabriela Jett. I'm a student of Progress Village and this is my water project called "My Niagara Falls". When most people think of water they think of rivers, the ocean, or water you drink. But I wanted to go a different route. Water has memories of where it's been and who drinks it, every drop of water we drink or see today have been processed through at least 3-4 other organisms. So water will feel the emotions of those who have consumed it. So I based it on my own eye and to represent feelings, the tears are represented as a waterfall hence the name My Niagara Falls. If I were to change it in anyway it would be to add more resin to the tears. The base is made from a cardboard box and a pipe to keep it up that's rapped in cloth, the box is painted tan and glued to a foam stand. The eye is made from paper mâché and rhinestones for color. The tears are made of resin and hot glue for tear drops. On a backup of the paper mâché eye, we found a dead dragonfly which I decided to honor by adding him to my project. He goes by the name H2O Hydrogen Bond, and he will rest in peace in glory.
