2026 Gallery & Competition

Welcome to the 2026 DooDad Sculpture Competition!

The competition portion of the 2025 Repurposed DooDad Sculpture Competition has officially concluded, and we are incredibly grateful to the students, teachers, families, and schools who brought this year’s theme to life with such imagination and ingenuity.

From inventive uses of obsolete objects to thoughtful interpretations of “Florida, Flying into the Future,” the sculptures submitted this year demonstrated the creativity, humor, and environmental awareness that make the DooDad Competition so special.

Judging and People’s Choice Voting has completed! 🎉

While the judging is complete, the celebration continues! Many of this year’s sculptures are now being featured in exhibitions throughout the Tampa Bay area.

Thank you to every student artist who participated and to the educators who encouraged their creativity!

Description: F.L.O.Y.D. the Recycle Bot : For this year DooDad project, I made a robot named F.L.O.Y.D, which stands for future leader of yesterday‘s devices. He is created from old, obsolete devices that others would consider as trash, like VHS tape arms, clamp hands, cardboard, and a binocular head. His purpose is to pick up old technology he finds on the ground and recycle it so that it can be given new meaning. When doing this year‘s DooDad project, my thinking has changed about the connection between creating with unconventional art materials and devices. By utilizing old technologies, I was able to build something that can help the environment. Before this project, I didn’t realize how much old technology goes to waste, and now I’m able to give them new meaning.
