2026 Gallery & Competition

Welcome to the 2026 DooDad Sculpture Competition!

The competition portion of the 2025 Repurposed DooDad Sculpture Competition has officially concluded, and we are incredibly grateful to the students, teachers, families, and schools who brought this year’s theme to life with such imagination and ingenuity.

From inventive uses of obsolete objects to thoughtful interpretations of “Florida, Flying into the Future,” the sculptures submitted this year demonstrated the creativity, humor, and environmental awareness that make the DooDad Competition so special.

Judging and People’s Choice Voting has completed! 🎉

While the judging is complete, the celebration continues! Many of this year’s sculptures are now being featured in exhibitions throughout the Tampa Bay area.  

Thank you to every student artist who participated and to the educators who encouraged their creativity!

Description: Sunshine Under. : My sculpture represents my research about the theme by using things that already exist (mostly) and amping them up. For example, we already have robots, but what about smart, waterproof robots? Also, since we literally live at the end of the land in Florida, we are like the beach of the country. Just like a beach during high tide, my hypothesis is that we will eventually be engulfed by water as well. So why not live under it? With careful thought and plenty of planning, we could live with gators and sharks in a high-tech symbiosis. Little projects like this can help us if everyone recycled in this way. Not only would we have plenty of wonderful art, but we would also be keeping the environment clean and healthy.
