2026 Gallery & Competition

Welcome to the 2026 DooDad Sculpture Competition!

The competition portion of the 2025 Repurposed DooDad Sculpture Competition has officially concluded, and we are incredibly grateful to the students, teachers, families, and schools who brought this year’s theme to life with such imagination and ingenuity.

From inventive uses of obsolete objects to thoughtful interpretations of “Florida, Flying into the Future,” the sculptures submitted this year demonstrated the creativity, humor, and environmental awareness that make the DooDad Competition so special.

Judging and People’s Choice Voting has completed! 🎉

While the judging is complete, the celebration continues! Many of this year’s sculptures are now being featured in exhibitions throughout the Tampa Bay area.

Thank you to every student artist who participated and to the educators who encouraged their creativity!

Description: The Gameman 6000: This piece was made to embody the original Gameboy. The Gameman 6000 is about the size of a small computer. Nintendo, which made the Gameboy, is a company which paved the way for future generations of consoles. To fit the Floridian theme, I designed stickers that I believe represent Florida, such as palm trees, shovels, the sun, and a beach ball. I used many items in the making of this- such as cardboard for the base, a picture frame for the screen, and finally clay and bottle caps for buttons. I also used wire for the perimeter of the screen and painted it gold. The game is an original flight game that was going to be pixelated, but I strayed from that style in my painting.
